Job Summary

As an experienced full stack data scientist at Walgreens, you will play a critical role in generating evidence to support clinical research and development. You will be responsible for designing and executing complex data analysis projects, developing and implementing data visualization tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities

As an experienced full stack data scientist at Walgreens, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and executing complex data analysis projects to generate evidence to support clinical research and development
  • Developing and implementing data visualization tools to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including clinical research, regulatory, and commercial teams, to drive business decisions
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support data analysis and visualization
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve data quality, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and clinical research
  • Collaborating with external partners and vendors to develop and implement data solutions
  • Developing and maintaining documentation and technical specifications for data analysis and visualization projects

Essential Capabilities

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential capabilities:

  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, with a focus on clinical research and evidence generation
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders
  • Experience working with large datasets and developing data pipelines and infrastructure to support data analysis and visualization
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Capabilities

While not required, the following preferred capabilities would be beneficial in this role:

  • A master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering
  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques, such as deep learning or natural language processing
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with data governance and compliance, such as HIPAA or GDPR
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
