Job Responsibilities

As a Math Tutor with Mathnasium of Lake Nona, your primary responsibility will be to teach and tutor students in grades 2-12 using our proprietary Mathnasium Method™. You'll work collaboratively with our team to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, using a combination of traditional and digital educational materials. Your duties will include:

• Teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Working collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality instruction and support
• Becoming proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Supporting the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
• Keeping the center fun and engaging for students and staff alike!

Qualifications

To be successful as a Math Tutor with Mathnasium of Lake Nona, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:

• A passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Eagerness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method™ and our proprietary instructional materials
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• A strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality instruction and support

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
