  • Correlate lab data to predicted results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive closure of findings.
  • Perform failure analysis down to board-level components and suggest corrective actions to improve system reliability.
  • Create formal reports with results, observations, and findings, and present to cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to our global body of knowledge and drive continuous improvement across Apple development groups.
  • Support Data Center Operations, including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and procedure review for mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Lead team members in scoping efforts and project planning as needed.

Essential Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

To stand out as a strong candidate, you should have:

  • Hands-on experience with prototype work and functional verification, specifically with servers, electronics, and electro-mechanical devices and systems.
  • Working knowledge of three-phase power and cooling basics.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Numbers, or other software to organize, analyze, and visualize data.
  • Proven analytical, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience with coding/scripting skills, such as Python, to post-process and analyze collected data.
  • Experience developing evaluation plans and automation software/scripts for measurement data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of device reliability and failure analysis to component level, including HASS, HALT, lifetime calculations, and working with suppliers using the 8D process.
