Job Description

The Patient Resource Specialist serves as the frontline liaison between patients, families, and our clinical teams. You will play an instrumental role in patient onboarding, eligibility verification, resource navigation, and ongoing support. This position blends administrative skill with empathy, ensuring every patient feels heard, respected, and guided through their care plan effectively.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in patient services, care coordination, or medical office operations

• Knowledge of health insurance processes and patient eligibility

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs) and Microsoft Office

• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative hybrid model

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through intake, eligibility, and onboarding processes

• Schedule appointments and coordinate care with internal providers and external partners

• Assist with benefits navigation, insurance authorizations, and referrals

• Track and follow up on patient requests and documentation needs

• Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant records and communication logs

• Provide timely follow-ups, reminders, and post-visit support

• Offer empathetic support to patients facing medical or social barriers

• Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams
