About the Role: Entry Level Chemical Regulatory Specialist

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Chemical Regulatory Specialist to join our Scientific Insourcing Services department. In this non-laboratory position, you'll work with vendors to seek out chemical information and learn global chemical regulations for a wide range of materials. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in regulatory services and develop essential skills in hazard communication and chemical compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Input information from vendor safety data sheets into a hazard communication database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Regulatory Analysis: Review global chemical regulations and determine their application for various products, staying up-to-date with changing regulations.
  • Vendor Communication: Search for SDS sheets of raw materials, fill in missing or incorrect information, and contact vendors as needed to clarify data.
  • Database Maintenance: Ensure the hazard communication database is up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to gather information, resolve issues, and drive projects forward.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: In Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related science.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new computer software.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Customer Service: Experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with global chemical regulations, such as REACH, GHS, or similar.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
