Position Overview

As a Virtual Customer Care Representative, you'll have the opportunity to deliver world-class customer service, help solve complex issues, and make a positive impact on the lives of our valued cardmembers. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success, and we're looking for individuals who are passionate about customer service, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.
  • Assist Cardmembers: Help cardmembers with account maintenance, issue resolution, and provide information about American Express products and services.
  • Communicate Effectively: Understand and communicate American Express products and services, ensuring that customers receive accurate and helpful information.
  • Navigate Systems and Databases: Effectively navigate various systems and databases to locate information and resolve customer issues.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work with colleagues and teams to ensure the best customer experience, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive success.
  • Continuously Learn and Improve: Stay up-to-date with American Express products, services, and procedures, and continuously look for ways to improve customer service and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Customer Service Experience: Customer service or call center experience is a plus, but not required; we're looking for individuals with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Remote Work Experience: Ability to work in a remote, home-based environment, with minimal supervision and excellent time management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with digital communication tools, such as email, chat, and phone systems.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a commitment to meeting customer needs.
