About the Role
As an iOS engineer on our team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Netflix iOS application. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, experience design, and creative production, to deliver high-quality, engaging experiences that delight our users. Your expertise in iOS development will help us drive success and push the limits of what's possible on mobile devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the Netflix iOS application, focusing on performance, quality, and accessibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, engaging experiences that meet our users' needs
- Develop and maintain core UI structures, frameworks, and systems that enable existing and future developments for product groups across Netflix
- Participate in A/B testing, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making to inform product development
- Contribute to the development of our cross-platform UI group, working on iOS mobile product developments that connect our users to the stories they love
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A strong foundation in iOS development, with experience building structures, libraries, and frameworks using technologies like UIKit, Core Animation, Objective-C, and Swift
- Proficiency in designing and developing highly performant, scalable, and maintainable applications that meet the needs of our users
- Experience with data-driven development, A/B testing, and experimentation
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance trade-offs and avoid over-designing
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
