About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Accounting Analysis Manager to join our Channel Development/Global Accounting team on a part-time remote basis. As an Accounting Analysis Manager, you'll collaborate with teams across Starbucks to support new business initiatives and lead projects with a high-performing team that manages accounting processes for our Channel Development and global retail business. This role is critical to Starbucks' success and pioneering efforts within accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Visionary Leadership: Impart vision and strategy for the accounting team and create a positive environment, instilling trust in leadership and collaboration to achieve business results.
• Manage Complex Accounting Areas: Oversee accounting processes and provide clients with clear guidance on accounting impacts.
• Drive Continuous Process Improvement: Prompt and lead others in the implementation of ideas and innovations to refine existing systems, internal controls, and workflows affecting month-end and quarter-end financial close and reporting.
• Develop and Mentor a High-Performing Team: Coach and motivate partners to meet business objectives, challenge the status quo, and seek continuous improvement. Engage, retain, and develop high-performing partners to address the needs of a growing business and provide ongoing smart development discussions.
• Collaborate with a Dynamic Team: Enjoy working with a lively, fun team and have a clear ability to drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks' core values.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• 4+ years of relevant experience in:
  • Driving accounting projects for a large, global, public company
  • Working cross-functionally with operations and business teams to implement accounting solutions for new business activities
  • Communicating in various forums and settings, including delivering accounting results and topics to finance and business leaders
• Experience with Blackline modules, including accounts, reconciliations, and journals modules
• CPA or equivalent open accounting experience or higher
• Four-year degree required. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a global or international environment
• Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience with financial planning and analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
