As a Data Engineer at NIKE, Inc., you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing data products and features that drive business decisions. - Design and implement data products and features in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to the overall architecture, frameworks, and standards for processing and evaluating big data.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks aimed at processing large volumes of data.
- Translate product backlog items into logical units of engineering work.
- Implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages prevalent in the big data ecosystem.
- Build tools, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to better enable data flow patterns.
- Collaborate with engineering leads and other teams to ensure quality solutions are implemented and technical best practices are defined and followed.
- Create and participate in automated unit tests and participate in integration tests.
- Use and extend continuous integration and deployment frameworks.
- Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Work in teams to resolve operational and performance issues.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Information Systems.
- At least 2 years of experience in a data engineering or computer-related position.
- Proficiency in the following technologies and skills:
- Spark
