Our SMC+DS team is poised to be Microsoft's next $100 billion business, and we're looking for a seasoned Director, Azure Partner Success to lead our partner ecosystem to new heights.

About the Role

As a Director, Azure Partner Success, you'll be responsible for building and developing a high-performing team that drives Azure consumption revenue through strategic partnerships. You'll work closely with key business partners, sales, technical implementation, and sales operations teams to create customer success behaviors that accelerate digital transformation. This role requires a deep understanding of customer success lifecycle management, up-sell/cross-sell motions, and routes to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner Relations:
    • Help partners grow Azure Consumption Revenue (ACR) and adopt capabilities that drive high-quality, customer-centric usage of Azure.
    • Support partners in expanding their relationships with their customers by driving adjacent and next-logical workload adoption.
    • Accelerate time-to-value for customers through reusable collateral delivered by the partner ecosystem.
    • Coach partners on Customer Lifecycle Management strategies to maintain a baseline, reduce churn, and develop customers.
  • People Management:
    • Model, coach, and care for your team to deliver success through empowerment and accountability.
    • Define team objectives and outcomes, enable success across boundaries, and help the team adapt and learn.
    • Attract and retain great people, know each individual's capabilities and aspirations, and invest in their growth.
  • Organizational Development:
    • Coach your team to create and nurture capabilities in a portfolio of partners, serving as an expert source for Consumption Maturity.
    • Develop and contribute to reporting that highlights the team's impact and function.
    • Develop partner assignment and selection strategies, and coach your team on cadences, expectations, and key partner outcomes.
    • Build processes and best practices to understand the partner experience and stay up-to-date on new and relevant information.
  • Partner and Segment Strategy Development and Ownership:
    • Contribute to global initiatives by utilizing existing and developing best practices for partner acceleration.
    • Champion and coach programmatic execution and adoption of programs to accelerate time-to-business value.
    • Act as an escalation point for challenging situations around initiative landing or customer retention for partners.

Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Change Management, Information Technology (IT), Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a global business environment, customer/partner engagement, cloud-based solutions, sales, account management, project management, customer relationship management, or IT Services.
  • People Management experience.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • 5+ years of partner engagement experience.
  • Completed training and/or certification on Microsoft Azure technologies, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions (AZ-700).

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. However, the base pay range may vary depending on your location, with different ranges applicable to specific work locations, such as the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
