Guidewire Architect - My IT LLC

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Guidewire Architect to lead the design and implementation of Guidewire-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Guidewire Suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter), integration frameworks, cloud platforms, and insurance domain best practices. You will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable, robust, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end architectural design of Guidewire-based solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
• Define and maintain architectural standards, best practices, and governance models for Guidewire implementations.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive design sessions and technical workshops to evaluate options and recommend optimal solutions.
• Architect and oversee integrations with external systems (e.g., CRM, document management, payment gateways, third-party data providers).
• Design cloud-based deployments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization strategies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Review code and ensure high standards in security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams.
• Stay up to date on Guidewire releases, new capabilities, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5+ years in Guidewire architecture or lead developer roles.
• Deep experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
• Strong proficiency in Guidewire Studio, Gosu programming, GOSU REST APIs, and Configuration/Integration frameworks.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud (GWC) and Guidewire Digital (Jutro framework).
• Familiarity with integration patterns, messaging (RabbitMQ, Kafka), and web services (REST, SOAP).
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Hands-on experience with database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Guidewire certifications (e.g., Certified Specialist or Certified Ace).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Prior experience in P&C insurance domain.
• Familiarity with container orchestration and DevOps tooling.
