DESCRIPTION We are seeking an experienced Billing Optimization Program/Project Manager to lead our efforts in streamlining and automating billing processes while ensuring full compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in medical billing, process improvement, and healthcare technology to maximize efficiency and accuracy in our billing operations. Key job responsibilities

  • Manage projects related to billing process improvements and system upgrades
  • Analyze current billing processes to identify areas for automation and optimization
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase automation rates in medical billing
  • Ensure all automated processes comply with healthcare regulations and payer requirements
  • Collaborate with IT and software teams to design and implement new automation solutions
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to billing automation and efficiency
  • Train and guide billing staff on new automated processes and best practices
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in medical billing automation
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
  • Liaise with payers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to optimize billing workflows

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • 7+ years of experience in medical billing
  • In-depth knowledge of medical billing processes, healthcare regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of healthcare information systems and billing software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Bachelor's degree
  • AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and/or AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters degree in Business or Healthcare Administration
  • Certifications such as CRCR or CSPPM are preferred

The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
