At BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, we are seeking a highly qualified Claims Adjuster to join our team and provide exceptional customer service to our members. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with customers. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, processing, and settling insurance claims.The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of education, experience, and technical knowledge. They should be highly organized, with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. They should also be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize their workload. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably as a Claims Adjuster. They should possess a thorough understanding of claims processing and be knowledgeable in contract language, claims regulations, and state laws. They should have excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Responsibilities: Review, process, and settle insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfactory customer service. Analyze information to determine the appropriate course of action for claims. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activities. Utilize strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Work independently and as part of a team. Manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload. Research and understand contract language, claims regulations, and state laws. Maintain a thorough understanding of the insurance industry. Utilize excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
